Meghan Telpner is a Toronto-based author, nutritionist, and founder of the Academy of Culinary Nutrition. She has written two bestselling books: UnDiet: Eat Your Way to Vibrant Health and The UnDiet Cookbook, has created many courses about healthy living, and passionately shares about holistic wellness on her and her partner’s podcast, Today is the Day. Meghan’s work has garnered her a feature in Forbes, and, she was ranked as one of the top 100 female entrepreneurs in Canada.
In this episode, Meghan walks us through her health journey – from diagnosis to ‘healing’ her incurable disease. She shares how she took the reins on her health by simplifying her routines and turning to wholesome food and ‘alternative’ healing modalities. Feeling empowered by her remarkable results, Meghan became a holistic nutritionist and taught herself to cook.
She then started to teach others how to infuse the power of food, love, and humour as medicine into their daily lives, and, soon thereafter, the Academy of Culinary Nutrition was born! She now has a growing community of more than 20,000 Culinary Nutrition Experts and advocates worldwide.
Meghan describes what it means to be healthy at home and how her new course, Healthy at Home, offers simple, affordable and hugely impactful changes that we can all make to create safer, less toxic and more comfortable home environments for ourselves and for our loved ones.
Meghan also graciously shares how she intentionally honours the time needed for her own mental, emotional and financial health so as to cultivate an optimal work-life balance.
